Looked at Love

Words were not needed, words were not said.
Mary walked near Jesus,
where His Blood was shed.
Time seemed suspended,
in God's own sphere.
two hearts are beating,
ever so near.
Soul looked at soul,
hearts became one.
Jesus and Mary,
Mother and Son.
Words were not needed,
words were not said.
Moment to moment,
the hour that was dread.
Hands were not touching,
lips did not speak.
Everything said,
when their eyes did meet.
Love looked at Love,
so much was seen.
Helping and pleading,
sharing the beam.
Nails to be pounded,
holding Him fast.
Love looked at Love,
the die was cast.
Sorrowful Mother,
suffering Son.
Love looked at Love,
one into one.
Words were not spoken,
words were not said.
Love looked at Love,
you'll arise from the dead.
Love looked at Love,
you'll arise from the dead.
